Obituary

Ann Marie Stathem Wilkins of Dover died Sunday, April 1, 2001 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 40.

Mrs. Wilkins was born on January 20, 1961 in Denver, CO, to Frank and Sherle Stathem. Being the daughter of a Federal Civil Servant for the military, the family moved often during her childhood. She lived many places including Grandview, MO, Colorado Springs, CO, and Karlsruhe, Germany, where she first met her husband, P.J. She attended Ecoloa Bible College in Cannon Beach, OR, Capernwray Bible School in Sweden, and Taylor University in Upland, IN.

She worked as a nanny in Manchester, England, and in the Washington, D.C. area as a legal secretary.

Ann was a member of Lacey Baptist Chapel, in Lacey, WA. Among her many interests and talents were drawing, gardening, crafts and sewing. Her last endeavor was learning to fly, and had recently soloed.

Ann Marie Stathem Wilkins is survived by her husband of 3 years, Peter (P.J.) Wilkins, of Dover; her stepdaughter, Michele Wilkins, of Dover; her parents, Frank and Sherle Stathem of Raymore, MO; one brother, Ross Stathem, of Silver Spring, MD; and one sister, Erin Armstrong, of Olympia, WA.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 04, 2001, in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, DE. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, in St. Joseph, MO.
